Terms and conditions

1. Who we are
Appointed Executor: Your Step-by-Step Probate Plan is a product of Code 418, Mariahof 3, 5056 SG Berkel-Enschot, the Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 68957157, VAT identification number NL001778406B98. Contact: [email protected]. These terms apply to every use of executorsteps.com and every purchase.
We are a Dutch business selling directly to customers in the United Kingdom. That does not reduce your rights: see section 11.
2. What this is — and what it is not
This is a self-guided plan that walks you through administering an estate, written for England and Wales. It is general information and practical structure. It is not legal advice, it is not a substitute for a solicitor or a probate practitioner, and we are not regulated to give advice on your particular estate. Estates differ; if yours involves a dispute, an unclear will, inheritance tax complexity or anything you are unsure about, take professional advice.
3. What you get
- The free stages are open to everyone, with a daily limit on the practice area.
- The complete plan is a one-off purchase giving access to all current paid stages, future updates to the plan, the downloadable worksheets, and a one-time allowance of 200 practice runs.
- Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP). The price you see at checkout is the total you pay. Obvious errors in price or description do not bind us.
4. Purchase and delivery
- Your order is handled by Paddle.com Market Ltd, our authorised reseller and merchant of record. Paddle takes the payment, charges any VAT or sales tax due in your country, issues your invoice, and is the name that appears on your card statement. Your purchase contract for the transaction is therefore with Paddle, and Paddle's own buyer terms apply alongside these. You pay using the methods shown at checkout.
- Once payment succeeds your access is activated immediately and you receive a confirmation by email.
- “Lifetime access” means access for as long as this product is offered, with a minimum of 24 months from purchase. If we ever withdraw it, we will give at least 3 months' notice.
5. Your right to cancel
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you normally have 14 days to cancel a distance purchase. Because this is digital content delivered in full the moment you pay, we ask you at checkout to:
- expressly consent to us supplying it immediately, and
- acknowledge that you therefore lose your statutory 14-day right to cancel.
Both are shown clearly before payment and confirmed with a tick box. If we have not obtained that consent and acknowledgement from you, your statutory 14-day right still applies.
6. Our refund promise (better than the above)
Regardless of section 5, we offer our own refund: if the plan is not for you, ask for your money back within 14 days of purchase using the refund button in your account. No form and no explanation needed. We do not turn down a request made inside that window. Your access ends when the refund is issued. This is a contractual promise we give voluntarily and it sits on top of your legal rights, not instead of them.
Because Paddle is the merchant of record, the refund is paid out by Paddle rather than by us, so it is not instant: we submit it as soon as you ask, and the money normally reaches your original payment method within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank. We accept only payment methods that can be refunded automatically (cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal), so this applies to every purchase without exception. Full details are on our refund policy page.
7. Practice credit and fair use
- The practice area sends prompts to a real AI model. It carries an allowance of practice runs and a reasonable-use limit, to prevent abuse and runaway cost.
- You may not use the practice area for purposes outside this product (such as automated or commercial use), resell credit, or work around technical limits.
- Unused practice credit has no cash value and cannot be exchanged.
8. Your account
- Your account is personal. Keep your sign-in link to yourself.
- Where an account is misused — sharing access, or circumventing limits — we may suspend it after warning you, and without refund if the misuse continues.
9. Intellectual property
All content — text, video, illustrations, worksheets, exercises — is protected by copyright. You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use it. Copying, distributing or reselling it is not permitted.
10. About AI answers
Answers in the practice area are generated by an AI model and can be wrong. They are practice material and are not professional legal, financial, tax, medical or other advice. Always check anything that matters — which is exactly what this plan teaches you to do.
11. Availability and liability
- We work to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation (maintenance, supplier outages).
- Except where the law does not allow it to be limited, our liability is limited to the amount you paid. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
- Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 that digital content be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.
12. Complaints and disputes
Run into a problem? Email [email protected] — we reply within 14 days and will try to sort it out with you first.
These terms are governed by Dutch law. As a consumer, however, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the law of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country. If you live in the UK, that means UK consumer law protections apply to you and you can go to your local courts.
13. Changes
We may change these terms. For purchases already made, the core promises — access and credit — stay as agreed at the time of purchase. The current version is always on this page.
